Chlorhexidine Oral Rinse

Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.12% w/w

DentaChlor is an antiseptic oral rinse which assists in the daily maintenance of a healthy and pleasant-smelling mouth in dogs and cats. DentaChlor rinse is recommended for home oral health care.

There are 3 ways that you can suggest applying DentaChlor at hope;

  • first apply directly to the buccle mucosa with the applicator tip.
  • apply to 3 *3 gauze and then rub the teeth
  • apply it to bristle head of a toothbrush.

Oral Rinse

Holding the animal's head steady with one hand, gently insert the applicator inside the corner of the mouth and apply 2-4ml of DentaChlor between the teeth and side of the mouth. Massage the mouth over the teeth for 30 seconds to 2 minutes to work DentaChlor over the surface of the teeth. Repeat on the opposite side of the mouth so that the gum surfaces are thoroughly wet on both sides of the mouth. Do not rinse.

Tooth Brushing

Place enough DentaChlor in a clean dish or cup to immerse the toothbrush. Holding the animal's head steady with one hand, dip the toothbrush into the solution allowing the excess solution to return to the container, and carefully brush the teeth with a gentle motion. Re-wet the brush with DentaChlor as needed. Do not brush for more than 2 minutes. Do not rinse.

Directions for Use

Apply once daily or according to the recommendations of your veterinarian. Do not rinse after application. For best results, use an applicator such as a soft-bristled toothbrush.
